Club members row at the club at different times during the week, training between the city and harbour for Ocean to City and regattas, and organise local and more adventurous club trips to rivers, along the coast, and beyond - regattas in Kerry, Clare, Dublin and Galway, an epic row from Donegal to Scotland, the London Great River Race, the St Patrick's Regatta in Barcelona, Galicia in Spain, and Venice's Vogalonga... you never know where rowing will take you next!
Local trips include camping trips around the coast and offshore to the Countries many Islands. The club has two trailers and access to a number of others, which between them can carry six of the larger working Naomhog Currachs and a number of other currachs on away trips. Other boats owned by club members have their own trailers as well, and often join trips away.
The boats can carry all camping equipment and supplies for the full crews, on offshore trips. Safety equipment for trips is provided by the club.
Trips also include hiking, running and other activities throughout the year.
Regular year round night rowing in the winter evenings (and dark mornings)!
Boats are equipped with navigation lights and accompanied by experienced crews, for safe night rowing, and the rowing is rarely stopped by the weather, except the occasional high wind!
Rowing takes place every Monday evening, Tuesday Morning, Wednesday Evening, and Thursday morning, in addition to the weekend activities.
